f. Genetic and Biomarker Data
When you upload biomarker reports or enter biomarker information, we collect genetic and genomic data including gene mutations, fusions, amplifications, and expression markers. This data is treated with the highest level of protection. In accordance with the Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act (GINA), your genetic information is never shared with employers, health insurers, or any third party for purposes of employment or insurance decisions. Biomarker data is used solely to provide biomarker matching, clinical trial discovery, and drug matching services within the platform.
4. Children's Information
The Services are not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 18, we will promptly take steps to delete that information. Some web browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. There is currently no industry standard for how companies should respond to DNT signals. At this time, BiomarkerHelp does not respond to DNT signals. We will update this policy if a uniform standard is established.
12. Platform-Specific Data Practices
BiomarkerHelp collects and processes specific categories of data related to clinical trial discovery:
- Biomarker Reports: When you upload NGS biomarker reports, we store the PDF files securely and process them using AI to extract biomarker data. The original files and extracted data are associated with your account.
- AI Analysis Results: Biomarker data extracted by our AI (gene mutations, fusions, amplifications, and expression markers) is stored in your account to enable biomarker matching, clinical trial discovery, and drug matching features.
- Clinical Trial Searches: We log the search queries, filters, and parameters you use to find clinical trials. This helps us improve search accuracy and provide relevant suggestions.
- Saved Results: When you bookmark or save clinical trials, we store those selections in your account to enable your personalized dashboard experience.
- Account Data: Your registration information, role selection, and profile preferences are stored to provide a tailored experience and enable role-specific features.
